Just hang around Justin from Freeze Thaw Cycles long enough, and you’ll definitely pick up some heavy bike-knowlegdge. These guys are the real-deal: servicing Sturmey-Archer hubs, rolling out spokes, breathing life (err…grease) back into those dusty bottom-brackets… All in a day’s work. Riders that dropped off their bikes were frequently asked if they wanted to stay and have a beer while the wrenches worked, and often were brought into the process of fixing/tuning their rigs until they rode juuussst right. Justin expressed that working on bikes out in the woods is his Valhalla – and the Airstream Camper parked right next to the work area is proof of Freeze Thaw’s dedication to the Trans-Sylvania Epic.
