Stage 6, tagged as the queen stage of TSE took racers to some of State College’s best trails. Tussey Ridge treated racers to amazing ridge lines and plenty of rocks. Once again Jake and Dax Breck Epic/ Notubes took top honors as the Zimmerman’s (First Place Racing) fought the good fight and solidified their second place GC over the Ciclismo teams who had some tire trouble early. In a gesture of solidarity, the forth place team of Jake and Steve waited for the third place team of Craig and Mike when they flatted on the first technical single track. Both teams stayed together for the rest of the day, with Steve and Jake finishing just ahead of their teammates.
Tomorrow’s stage will likely be a bit of a parade as the GC is all but locked up. Look for tales of fun in this report for tomorrow’s final stage.
