Stage 1 is a loop from camp. It’s a solid mix of what’s in store for the week: fun singletrack and a few challenging rocky sections.
The first three miles of the prologue is gravel road.  Leaving the camp, you’ll have a moderate climb and descent as you parallel route 322.  From here you’ll bear right onto Decker Valley Rd, climbing steadily, then descending and passing by Seven Mountains Wine Cellars.  Shortly afteward, you’ll bear right onto an abandoned carriage path (largest climb of the course) which leads into a singletrack called Decker Path.  As you approach the halfway point, you’ll pop out onto Sand Mountain Rd for a short while, then back into the singletrack, leading you back toward the camp.  From here, you’ll alternate between wide snowmobile trails (Faust Valley Trail) and narrow singletrack, popping out in a snowmobile parking lot and back onto Sand Mountain Rd for a half mile or so.  The last mile will consist of some fun trails within the camp and a sprint to the finish. 11 miles.  Rolling hills; 1400′ climbing.
